SWC Attendance Policy
On 3/19/18 SWC voted to accept the " SWC Attendance Policy" with an effective date of 4/1/18.
For the time period of 4/1/18 to 12/31/18, SWC Members are allotted 2 “unexcused” absences.
As of January 1, 2019-SWC members will be allotted 3 “Unexcused Absences" per calendar year.
An " Excused Absence " is defined as an SWC member/ Alternate who has notified the Chair prior to the SWC Meeting that they will be absent due to; illness,mandatory travel for employer or a personal emergency. An excused absence is also applicable to a family issue,illness or emergency.
An "Unexcused Absence”is defined as an SWC Member/ Alternate failing to notify the Chair of their absence prior to the meeting.As well as absence from a meeting for reasons other than those outlined in "Excused Absence".
The chair is responsible for keeping record of member attendance,Excused Vs Unexcused absences.In the event a Member/Alternate violates the SWC Attendance Policy as stated,the Chair will bring the matter to the BOS for further action.
